Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cut the butter into small cubes and drop the cubes into the flour. Work the flour into the butter with your fingers until it resembles a crumb, being careful not to melt the butter.
  4. Slowly add the cold buttermilk and stir until just combined.
  5. Dump the dough onto a lightly floured surface and fold it on top of itself a few times. Be careful not to overwork the dough!
  6. Cut the biscuits with a round cookie cutter (or drinking glass) by pressing down, don’t twist!
  7. Place the biscuits onto a greased baking pan and brush the tops with buttermilk. Bake for 15 minutes or until they’re golden & fluffy.
